Hiding your pain from them who say they care.
I bow my head, I hide in shame
For if your eyes met mine they would see my pain
My feelings don’t flow with ease, they hide from this cruel world

Time can mend, but my time has come
My heart lays cradled in your hand
One breath, one touch then I shall leave
Leave to the loneliness inside

Within this empty body I hold the darkness
The darkness has grown
My mind defeated with its game
It has won my presence

To crave the pain, to feel free
Release from the bind it holds over my soul
The feel of coldness can be inviting
The taste of sweet with sour can linger

Darkness has become my addiction
The sharpness of the edge
Shining in the light
The blade I hide from you

My release
Taking away the problems only brings shame
For I can’t hide anymore
I want my life back
Will you deny me my passion?
