This poem depicts the desire to just let go and love someone completely
Standing on the edge of a deep expanse
One foot firmly planted, one peeping over the edge
The draw, the desire, the pull
The longing to let go

The hesitation, the fear, the ache
Of my heart, wanting what's safe
The regret and the disappointment
That I can't just jump

I know that it's possible, that I can
That I want to join others in the dance
Standing on the side is never rewarding
It's not enough to stand and sing

Songs of love, songs of pain
Not danced to are in vain
You, and I, must take this chance
We must leap into this eternal expanse

Sure you can miss a step
Can sometimes even fall
But that shouldn't stop you
From answering the call
