If a problem has eaten away at you, you'll understand this poem
The sky is grey
The rain falls down
My skin's the lightest shade of brown
My breath is hot
My heart feels warm
And inside me these feelings form
The world gets small
I can't find room
I'm scared of what will come soon
I shy away
I fear the worst
My head is about to burst
Emotions run deep
I need to stop
I'm heading over the top
I need to grow
I need to learn
My heart races, my lungs burn
I'm not honest
I don't do right
I worry right through the night
My head will sweat
My nerves will thud
My conscience runs right through my blood
To tell the truth
Would stop the pain
Would stop my tears fall like rain
I've done no wrong
Yet I've done no right
I don't turn to the dark yet I don't turn to light
Oh, the sky is grey
The rain falls down
My skin's the lightest shade of brown.
