Is there something in life that you are running from. Read what this writer has decided.
The job isn't what I want it to be, but I will stay.
The church isn't what I think it should be, but I will stay.
Running is no longer the way I must now learn to stay.
I have to trust God for grace to stand regardless of any man.
This soldier is tried of running; it's time to take a stand.
I have to learn to stay and fight; not run or take flight.

I'm not the young woman I was years ago;
The old ways don't work any more.
I'm a older woman now and the battle has changed.
Just a cry out to the Lord will no longer suffice,
I have to do spiritual warfare and fight for this life.
I can't just say, "I'm consecrated unto the Lord",
I must minister as priest;
the sin must now cease.

Fasting should not be the struggle,
it should now be the norm.
Making excuses is no longer acceptable,
I have to be transformed.
Reading along is no longer enough;
I have to study to show myself approved,
Daily taste and see that the Lord is good,
my daily bread and living water.
It's in his presence I receive my orders.

I can't just attend a church;
I must realize I am a part of the Church,
a bride awaiting the return of her groom,
a jewel awaiting the world's greatest jeweler,
the voice of one crying out in the wilderness,
'prepare ye the way'.

Yes, I know that as of today,
it's time for me to learn to stay.
