Under the Pillow

I keep a prayer under my pillow
to help me sleep at night
I talk to God in my own way
as I turn out the light

A prayer that says "Sorry, Lord
for all the wrong I've done...
and thanks for all the little things
you give to everyone."

A simple prayer to show me that
I made it through the day
And to guide me for tomorrow
as I go on my way

I keep a prayer under my pillow
it helps me make it through
And in the morning, when I wake
I can start over new
