reflections of insecurities
When in the daylight's dawning hours

You wake me touching my skin softly like you would a flower.

I turn towards you so that we are eye to eye.

Without you my love you whisper I would surely die.

Before I could stop it your name softly escaped my lips.

As you stroke my skin with your fingertips.

I wonder as we lay there side by side,

If you see the frightened girl inside me that hides.

Full of so many insecurity's and fear.

I want to whisper promise me as you pull me near.

If I say those words would you run?

Would this be the beginning or would it be over and done?

Your touches wake something hidden deep within

I muffle I love you so as not to make you aware of my deadly sin.
