A love poem.
When I looked in your eyes, I saw straight to your soul.
The beauty inside you shone bright.
My knees turned to rubber, as my heart you stole;
A smile from your lips made my night.

Professing my love was a frightful ordeal,
You could shatter my dreams with a "No."
My fear I could hide with a heart made of steel,
And I waited for your smile to show.

You started to cry and the tears stained your face.
My spirits were dashed to the ground,
But your eyes met my own and there wasn't a trace
Of regret or remorse to be found.

I promised to love you 'til death do us part,
You're my Angel, my muse, and my life.
You were always the one for me, right from the start;
There was no better choice for my wife.

Now years have gone by, yet your eyes are still bright
With the love I once knew and still crave.
I've never felt anything that felt this right
And I'll love you 'til death, to the grave.
