Power

Two men of power seek the throne,
Many around them so they are not alone,
A queen is chosen to bring glee,
Among the simple-minded family,

Donations made and collected,
So that their image can be respected,
Marching ahead with their flute,
The happy rats are not astute,

They follow the pipers tune blindly,
As if they are truly thought of kindly,
By the men of power who seek,
To govern and control all that are meek,

Promises made of a world of bliss,
Later denied without remiss,
To the throne one will ascend,
The meek ready to follow to the end.
