I search the world for a believable reply
The question: what happens to me when I die?

Will I go up into to the clouds
When I get there will there be crowds?
Of people who in life did believe
That we came from Adam and Eve?

Or will Allah greet me when I retire
Or will he instead send me into the hellfire?
Will Buddha take me under his wing
Reward me for all my life's suffering?

Will it be Jesus who died on the cross
Meeting me as I walk across?
The streets filled of gold that flows
But the answer is, who really knows?

Nobody has proof of the things they read
And all the people that wrote it are dead.

They are just books of mere words
Distorted over the years by corrupt lords
How much blood did they spill
So that people can believe against their will?

What happens when a soul is judged by lies
With the promise of riches or pain when it dies?
If it kills a part of the human soul
Is harmony really a religion's goal?

Or perhaps the truth is we've been played
Even the original books were just man-made
Created so that mankind get over its fear
Of death when the reaper draws near.

Perhaps it is just living a lie with the need to console
Because no one wants to believe that there's no soul
Is it so hard to live your life and feel complete
Without the need for all this deceit?

Can there be no belief in the good of man
Without an invisible God forcing his hand?

Perhaps one day we can count the score
Will it be religion or atheists who killed more?
