love beyond reach
I like to gaze at the stars at night
their beauty burning ever bright
they pose to me a mystery, as do you

You shine a light for all to see
though I wish it were just for me
I'm inexplicably drawn to you
as to the stars than shine at night

and like the stars that drape the sky
you seem to be forever nigh
though in truth you're far beyond my reach
just like the stars that shine at night
