An emotionally twisted poem dealing with the lost relationship of a friend.
One can only think what I said had no meaning
After you read, you fled, as if you had no feeling

Yet still I write to you, in hope for the best
The thought of you, I just can’t put to rest

Slowly, I will be able to let you go someday
But somewhere I feel, there is something you’ve hidden away

A feeling, or care, you have not yet shown
Nothing can help me from feeling so alone

Hoping you feel just the same as I
Wondering why to myself I lie

Knowing good well, that you are on your way
To a life that has begun to wash me away

Sensing the hurt you have kept inside
Wondering why it is, I even tried

To share my feelings I have kept for so long
As soon as I did, I wondered just where I went wrong

As you never once responded, as I laid my heart out
Soon I learned just what you are about

As I waited for weeks just to hear from you
All I can say is that was quite a clue

To inform me that what I said had no meaning
That slap in the face, is a “hell of a feeling”
