What we feed our mind, creates that vision in the mirror.
These thoughts in my head
And whispers in my ear
Keep myself from looking in the mirror
And seeing that it's clear
The breath I breathe into that mirror
Is what I have grown to fear
A fog I've created, that blocks the sun from it's shine
A mind corrupt, an answer i'm hoping to find
That will allow me to escape the burden and pain
Without a change of mind, It will always remain
As a part of me, waiting to flee
Until I change I'll never be set free

The image that reflects back at me
Is what I've grown to believe
A man shattered by the words that he's so often around
Feeling like the world is out to pull him down
The new man standing here today
Has learned just how to wash those feelings away
As I've been the center piece of what I feel
Knowing now most all I see is unreal
All created by believing what I've heard
With a change of words, a broken man is cured

I'm too strong to fall down to their level
There's a reason our God separated himself from the Devil
Walking away and standing tall speaks for itself
The attitude I carry along is my ultimate wealth
I've learned In the end it all unfolds as it should
So with every moment I seek and capture the good
No need to waste my time and energy
Because at the end of the day I'm my own worst enemy
Those thoughts in my head
And whispers in my ear
Have become something I've learned to cheer
Never fear the image in the mirror
Take the fog away and you'll see yourself when it's clear
