A short poem about pain and mistrust in a relationship.
Babies breath kisses
Soft embrace.
Whispers of forever,
Dimples sink in her face.

Fingers find fingers,
sweetly intertwine.
Laughter finds lips,
He whispers, "Be mine?"

Months roll along,
Innocence rolls into lust.
Sweet turns to nasty,
kisses turn to thrusts.

Eyes begin to wander,
fingers tighten on her heart.
His passion finds another,
He rips it apart.

Tears trail down softly,
Pain echoes in her eyes.
He's happy with another,
She dies slowly inside.

Happy that he killed her,
Glad she's hollowed out.
Selfish deeds propelled him,
Guilt is nowhere to be found.

Sorry never mattered,
It never crossed his mind.
Besides, words would never heal
What sin he committed this time.
