Thinking about a lost love.
Sunset...

If I should die
Let me be buried in the sunset of your smile
Caressed by the burnt sienna hues of maybes or probablies
Sheltered by the tingling warmth of hushed possibilities
Beckoned by the dying rays of what could have been

If I should sleep
Let it be to the lulling tones of whispered words
Smothered in the candied kisses of the things left unspoken
Embraced in the timestamps of feelings that can't be broken
Lulled by the cinnamon dreams of what should have been

If I should die
Let me be buried in the sunset of your smile
Wrapped around the soft timbres of the achingly conspicuous
Immersed in the rose colored spectacles of avoiding the obvious
Entombed by the gentle ending of what would have been
