For Peace We Must Try

Blood, men, war,
Machines, guns, fighting.
Grief, sorrow, tears,
Women, horror, crying.

Why must we spill blood?
Why must we have war.
Why must men die?
Does anyone keep score?

Why build machines to kill?
Why make guns that cause death?
Why fight over causes?
Why do we stop other’s breath?

Why cause such grief?
Why so much sorrow?
Why a river of tears?
Lets go back to arrows.

Why torment women?
Why give them such horror?
Why cause so much crying?
Lives affected by a despoiler.

Must we have children,
Only to watch them die?
In all truth,
For peace we must try.
