a mans sorrow filled poem to his girlfriend
Asking for forgiveness
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry for what was said,
I didn’t mean for it to sound like that,
No one should call you that,
I am sorry if it ever brought a tear,
My vision wasn't clear,
I am sorry I couldn't see,
See that you were someone special,
See that you were someone to be cherished,
See that what was said, wasn’t meant to be said,
See that I am asking for forgiveness
See that I don’t want to live the burden
The burden of knowing I brought tears to your eyes,
I wish I could go back,
But what was said, was said
And can't be taken back
It shouldn’t have never been said
But it was and I am
Asking for forgiveness
