short poem.
Look away for only a moment and the world has spun a million times without you
Just one blink and everyone has aged years beyond your imagination
They may have left you in the dust
So build a staircase to the stars
for if they let you fall behind then they aren't like you or I
So when the icy winds of reason blow
We know that we did all we could to freeze time in its place
Inevitably the world's facade unravels
and stares you in the face
So stand tall and be proud
Becasue you fought the hardest battle
An uphill slide against the fall
But know that it was worth it
Because even though the fight was over before it started
You fought it
And that's enough
Since there are so few willing to even open their own eyes
Nevermind try to change the world
You are the unsung hero.
