Based on the non-sexual abuse of young children
She sits alone in a darkened room,
Where noone hears her tears.
She doesn't know how long it's been,
but she still feels the fear.

A voice outside the door is saying,
"Are you still scared of the dark?"
The six year old opens her mouth,
and she tries to respond.

She tries to say:

"Yes and I always will be,
This tortures not helping me.
All I want to do is cry,
and cry,
and cry.
Then, that's when I die inside."

But the words won't come out right.
Her throat is scratchy and her mouth is dry.
All she can do is cry...
All she can do is cry...

The voice scolds her and it says with pride,
"You just earned another hour of time."
Then, that's when she dies inside.
That's when she dies inside.

The ropes holding her to the chair
are tied way to tight.
She finds it hard to breathe in air,
and so she says goodnight.

Then, she dies on the outside.
Then, she dies on the outside.
