Poem about War.
Raging Storm

A storm is born,
Sweeping across the land
With trumpeting horn
War casts upon the world
A despair felt by all humanity.
For peace does the maiden weep
And the Goddess lay her master plan
In darkness does the child sleep
The troubled son of Man
Will he sleep and wake
Or will he sleep forever?
Shall we give or shall we take?
Will we now endeavor
To give our hand to peace?
Or will we take the hand of war?
As bombs fall and children die
We see the raging storm
And how the earth does cry.
            -M.E. Starr, July 24, 1999
This poem is dedicated to the Earth, our mother in whom we owe
our entire existance.  If not for her we would not have food to
eat, clothes to wear, or a planet to live on.  If not for her,
where then would we be?
