A short, kinda of vague, poem about making life choices.
Edge

The valor is welling up inside of me again
Too eager, too naive
I’m on the edge of letting myself go
To jump, to free fall into something unknown
“Just take a deep breath and jump
This is your death
This is you living
Let yourself go, this is the best idea you’ve ever had”

The nerve is leaving again
Too scared, too scarred
I’m frozen in place
To watch, to be caged by all that is known
“Just take a deep breath and watch
This is your life
This is you dying
Keep yourself still, this is the worst idea you’ve ever had”
