About a woman I know.
Raised on a golden path with ways full of life, despite life's pressures hope was always on the other side.
With singing, rejoicing, a church with a unified voice. Too loud to hear my mourning, too prideful to feel my remorse.
As if a knife been stuck in my heart, my hope began to fade. From light to darkness, my perception became gray.
From holy to profane darkness engulfed my soul. My heart became so broken, so broken, I became cold.
I went from strict to lawlessness. Do whatever to gain that paper, gotta hustle to pay my bills
Damaged goods, despised for my living, can't go to certain people for help, so what good is religion?
With a deep sigh I lay down my expression........time to put on this front. For I have mastered the art of deception.
