A short poem about hope.
Unknown unseen dawdling was I under a darkening sky
The weary path I plod seemed endless
Darkness, darkness and darkness was all around
Stumbling, shuddering and shivering I walked along
A noble glow from somewhere fought the diabolic dark
Glimpses of which carried me through..
Light flickered …it came and went…
Every time, however, it promised to return..
Hope nullified the haunt and I walked along..
Light momentarily left agonizing me
Demeaning darkness so intimidating!!
Fear of the dark prevailed…profoundly playing upon my mind
And Lo! A sudden sparkle changed the thoughts!
Loneliness seemed to be accompanied with mirth of brilliance..
Illumination injecting impetus in my soul and I walked along
The light and the dark, the hope and the haunt
The joy and the fear;
Changed like seasons of life…
The tormenting temperature, relieving rain, chilling chasms
Splendid spring all formed parts of same calendar
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
