Miserable, scared and alone
A Girl's End

Those dreaded moments make you think
What your fading life could bring
As your mind leaves the skating rink
You try so hard not to blink
For fear that they will not open again
Slowly fading to the end
Your heart alone left to fend
For your short life which twists and bends
Eyes well up you're about to cry
Miserable, scared and about to die
Leaving this world traumatized
Not the best ending in anyone’s eyes
Life...just out of reach
Want to scream but incapable of speech
The eerie silence momentarily breached
The roar of sirens as sweet as a peach
Throughout your damaged body spreads relief
That this could be happening you can hardly believe
The sharp pains a reminder which death could relieve
But the ties to this world won’t let you leave
“The girl's okay” a tall man said
You think the worst injury must be the health of your head
The tall man again “it’s amazing she’s not dead”
Some grim paramedics lift you onto a bed
You’re so happy that you have been found
For a single moment you let your guard down
Paramedics panic as your head slumps with hair dark brown
The last thing you see is the tall man with a sad frown
