A Poem I wrote for my grandaughter.
As I sit here in the backyard under this big oak tree.

I think about a little girl who means the world to me.

Now as I watch her swing swaying in the breeze,

I can hear her sweet voice say"Will you push me please."

All through the day she'd chase Butterflys around.

Then she'd sneak upon them as they'd land upon the ground.

As the sun would start to set and slowly leave the sky.

Through blue eyes she'd say "Can we catch a fireflt."

Now Summers slowly fading as the Winter months set in.

But,there will come a day when we'll do it all again.

One day she'll grow older and knew things will come along.

There will even be new music to replace her favorite song.

Fireflys and Butterflys make such sweet memories.

I'd like to paint it in the sky for all the world to see.

When evening came about she'd run fast as she could go.

With tiny hands reaching out to catch a tiny glow.
