I wrote this poem when I worked at a local Hospital.
As down the hall a light would ring.

In an empty room there won't be a thing.

Just a night light burning and an empty bed.

Yet you can feel the presence of the long past dead.

You can't see them, but ,they can see you,

For it's amazing at the things they do.

Every now and then you get a chill.

And in a room a rose scent will fill.

There's certain nights you might think,

You see a lady in a house coat of pink.

In the kitchen through the window she'll stare.

What is it she's hoping to find out there.

So if in the night things go bump,

And in your throat there rises a lump.

Don't be afraid of a shadow you saw.

It's just a ghost walking the hall.
