a poem describing the determination of summer running
Arriving to practice at eight o' clock,
every summer day,
running on small pieces of rock,
sunlight shining with each ray.

Saying hello for just a minute,
stretching for hours at a time,
pushing yourself to your limit,
it almost seems like a crime.

Running up and down the hills,
keeping a positive thought,
wishing you were cold with chills,
because miles cannot be bought.

You pray that you can make it,
and reach your goal of the day,
you know you must commit,
and put your talent on display.
