This is my poem that was included in an anthology by the American Poets Society.
The sun goes down
On the end of the day
The love of my life
Has gone away.

He's left me here
In my hollow shell
For how long I cannot tell.

The love of my life
Took my heart that day.
He packed it up
And carried it away.

The sun has come up
It's the beginning of day
The love of my life
Came home today.

He brought me his love
Is it fair to say
That the love of my life
Has come home to stay?
