Pretty depressing poem written when I was... well, depressed.
Song of the Depressed

In serenity, my fears overtake me,
Hatred, at night, consumes; makes me
able to find no comfort in you, my love,
as I find no comfort in Heaven above.

those lost, as I am, in darkness are shunned,
and the obscuring lies, their salvation becomes,
in darkness, in silence, in peace we wail,
for help from the darkness to no avail.

Because we hate the way we feel tonight,
in darkness and silence, we shun the light,
as it has shunned me, and so many more,
whose heart and soul are at constant war.

And in peace and silence, I harbor my sin,
as I drag the knife, the line red and thin,
shows my hatred for the fact that I am,
and the sorrow I have for those that I damn.

The line spreads across, spreading my hate,
it seems so easy, to determine my fate.
I know not why I do this, I just need to feel,
to place myself above the cold Temptor's heel.

And so sit here I, raging in serenity,
contemplating my everlasting enmity
for those who refuse to understand,
those who for the light's hatred demand
