one winter afternoon feeling the hurt and the lonliness
Grey sky, rain sitting in the clouds up high
Only the odd bird goes sailing by.

From her mouth escapes a sigh
Her face frowned as she recalls the lie

Slowly tears fall she begins to cry
Dark despair, she wishes he might die
So she can mouth the words goodbye

Instead she just wipes her eyes dry
and then lets escape another sigh

She sees another bird passing by
Passing high into the sky
