My young friend burnt to death suddenly and tragically, after we argued.
AN UNANSWERABLE SORRY

Jenna, my sweet friend.
Too soon reached your end.
Life ending at the start.
My heart, tearing apart.

The horrid news today.
Stunned, nothing to say.
The love and care we felt
Too few years were dealt.

So early. So young.
Your life barely begun.
So good you to us.
Even through the fuss.

How I wish I was not cross.
Pride. Too stubborn to toss.
Too late to make it right.
Too slow to see the light.

Forever bound with this word...
Ones you should have heard.
Oh words I wish I had said.
Or taken time to break bread...

Foolish pride's terrible cost.
Bound now in tragic loss.
Filled with a painful regret.
Of selfish words I can't forget...
