A sad, true story in a lyrical poem.
Just one crash,
Going into shock,
The blood on the ground,
You try to walk.

It could have been changed,
A few different choices,
Why didn't you just,
Give into the voices?

Earlier that night,
You were given a chance,
But you are too proud,
You didn't even spare a glance.

A few extra drinks,
What could it hurt?
You got in the car,
Not even alert.

You were careless,
You blink in surprise,
You remember your life,
As it fades from your eyes.
