Poem for my father, we've never gotten along. Recently realized how great he is.
For your birthday, I give you these,
Things to put your mind at ease,
All eagles were born to fly,
All it takes is to reach for the sky,

Get up and take some action,
No more will I be a fool,
Once you get this type of reaction,
You can live your life as more than a tool,

This isn't what you've been told,
You can live life and still grow old,
My words have finally began to flow,
And to finish this I want you to know,

Everything I ever was,
Simply came around because,
Youth is wasted on the young,
It takes more than just to hold your toungue,
Revelations finally strike me,
I open my eyes now to see,
A destiny lying ahead of me,

Father I hope you can understand,
You're the one who taught me how to be a man,
One last thing to bring these lines through,
You're my dad and I'll always love you.
