Just one of the many hardships that a farm family endures.
Another cross in the courthouse yard,
It completes the third row.
There are seven crosses to each line,
Only four are left to go.
Another family leaves our town,
With nothing left to show.
The county took our family farms,
Couldn’t buy the seed to sow.
