poem writen to win a contest with the theme of easter
You see their eyes, alight with the joy of fantasy, searching through the house and gardens to find the object of their obsession.

You see their hands fumble through the bushes, searching blindly, hoping their fingers will come in contact with a shinny foil wrapper.

You hear their excited shriek as they find the inevitable rewards, the clear purpose of the activity.

Then you turn and see the delighted eyes of their parents, sweeping over the simple amusement of their little bundles.

You stare at the love radiating through the small space called home, at the excitement and the sugar rush, but above all at the sense of harmony and unity.

And you think; when will that find me? The answer is simple – never. You cannot wait for that life to find you, you have to go out and find that life. Only then will you grasp it.
