I wrote this in just 10 mins, it's seems quite simple but you can read more into it
When the artists starts to paint his picture
The oil paints on his palette dance.
They sing out in joy, their bright colours crying out
Spreading love through canary yellow and peacock blue.
They dance around the palette like two lovers,
Blending, slowly twisting and turning,
Sharing until they become one.

However, introduce a third colour, it fuses with the other
two
Until it emerges strong and loud, jade, olive, lime,
green.
Green turns to red and burns through the palette
Like fire through a forest, spreading pain through the
Scarlet, screaming and swearing.

Then it all goes dark, the colours blur,
It turns dark, dull, brown, grey, black.
The colours stop dancing, still and murky,
They shadow the once lively, youthful colours
All energy is gone, darkness is left,
The painting is finished and they are washed form the
palette
Forever parted.
