on life's experiences
These emotions are capitalized,
Time after time thwarted,
Tender hearts of innocence
Broken and distorted...

Weighed down by this emotion
We are too often dismayed,
Growth begins after the storm
But is too often delayed.

Let it rain,
Let it snow.
Let us fall,
Let us grow.

Shaken by the thunder,
Enlightened by the sound.
Slipping from your stance,
Then falling to the ground.

Frailness comes with the territory,
Toughness with the calling.
Standing there in pain,
But firmly after falling.

Let it rain,
Let it pour.
Give us hail,
Give us more!

These emotions are capitalized,
Time after time thwarted.
Tender hearts of innocence,
Broken and distorted...

Let it rain,
Let us fall.
Heal this pain,
Heal us all.
