on the walls we build

A heart full of vigilance
damaged from the ingorance
fragile innocence cracked
emotions bruised and whacked
cautioned from the past
with no acceptance to cast
enclosed by the walls
and the nasty falls
no reason for trust
with the eyes of lust
memories contain the pain
where the ugly scars remain
the resistance builds
and nothing yields
the walls get higher
shielding desire
ingoring the glance
and the smiles that dance
I will not fall prey
to the sweet words you say
along with the tide
these desires died
so leave me alone
with the walls of stone
they protect me from harm
and the deadly charm
don't try to break through
I'll only resist
