From my friend's perspective regarding his 17 year old son who recently hung himself.
Joshua Blaine

No matter how many tears that I cry
not a one of them can bring you back home.
It does not matter how many times I ask why
So alone through this dark world I roam.

The color you added to my life is now black
I can’t see through this miserable haze
You were the substance in my life I now lack
How will I ever find my way through this maze?

There is no warmth – I am, oh so cold
So I wrap myself in my arms and weep
If I could have one thing – it would be you to hold
I always thought you were mine to keep.

It pains me to know you were hurting so bad
Why didn’t you come talk to me?
You were my only son – the only child I had
I pray from your pain you’re now free.
