this is basically about pushing everyone that love you away for a self-damaging reason
It's quiet right now

Is that good or bad?

I hear no crying.

Are you happy

Or an unrevealed sad?

Sitting alone in the dark

It's where you want to be.

With no one to hold you

Or even care to see.

You're afraid of what they may think

And of what they may say.

So you hide.

Saving yourself from the pain.

It's not how it use to be.

You have truly changed.

It's so hard to help you

When you turn everyone away.

It seems like you can't give up this act.

Not knowing if its real or just a play

What are you so afraid of?

It's obvious I'm not going away.

You were the one I could turn to

When times got rough

Now I'm alone in the dark

Cause all of a sudden,

You've gotten tough.

It's plain to see I have no say

As much as it hurts,

I'm not caring today

I'm realizing I can't let this run my life

But I refuse to say goodbye

A true friend doesn't walk out

So I'm one of the few you've got left.

I'm forevermore here for you.

No matter what you put me through.

Through thick and thin

I will not hide

Like you in the dark

Next to your best friend, Pride
