Know more than others if you can, but don’t tell them so.
KNOW, BUT DON’T TELL SO: a sonnet

I came across a wonderful advice:
“Work hard and learn all that there is to know.
But never develop this useless vice
Of telling others you are learned so.”

Men and women want to think they know much.
Why deny them their innocent pleasure?
If dreams of riches make them happy such,
Let poor people conjure wealth at leisure.

Real wisdom lies in following this:
“Know more than others if you ever can.
Earn riches to fulfil your every wish,
But look at riches rather with disdain.”

A mind that is ever tranquil, at peace,
Will be in final moments quite at ease.
