Soliloquy

A cup of tea

A slice of cake

Some more of me

         *

Friends abound

Intimates around

On I Talk

A singular sound

         *

Prattle along

Whistle a song

People leaving?

Tea too strong?

         *

Monologue?

I look agog!

I listen well

Share – not hog.

         *

Lips now shut

My feelings cut

Blood of pride

Wells in my gut

         *

Speak alone

Live alone

Friends crave heart

Not words of stone
