Finally found the song in my heart I needed to sing.. If you read it, please rate it <3
I see beauty in your eyes,
There's depth, soul, something that cannot be faked
By mirrored glasses or a turn of the head.
Look beyond the shiny refractions of light,
Tell me what you see.
Is it truth that dwells behind the colored lens,
Or just another lie woven in the fabric?
No, it is beauty,
Often hidden in fear and shame,
Covered in the blanket of half truths,
Marred in transparency,
Torn apart by deception.
You sing your beauty so soft and true,
You knew this tune all along.

I see strength in your walk,
There is stamina and definition in your steps upon the ground.
Find the difference between the want and need,
And suddenly the approaching curve bears no fright.
Look at the footprints in the dust
Tell me what you see.
Is it a step left forever on the hearts of man,
Or is it easily swept away in the coming breeze of dawn?
No, it is strength,
There is courage defined here that has no words.
Now seldomly hidden in the wake of destruction,
Breaths of the demons wither,
Wings of the angels flutter,
No longer chambering the cartridge.
I hear the courage of your heart sing strong,
Echoes of the girl I knew yesteday.

I see something I've never seen before
In the way you swing your arms,
The way you look at me with eyes so blue,
I know there's a reason why you sing.
Sing from the heart, sweet baby,
And tell me what you feel.
Is it love that finally embraces you,
or is it the truth you've come to love?
This is love, as pure as can be,
So strong between the closest of friends.
The journey is not yet over,
It has barely begun.
So much left unspoken,
So much left still left to be said,
Find reality take flight, leave behind what you once knew.
Bonds that have been broken remain shattered,
Rags once worn lay in a heap upon the ground,
Shield and sword and helmet of salvation stand alone.
This is what you were meant for, sweet darling,
Sing it for me one more time.
