This is a poem I wrote in 7th grade.
As I wander through the meadow
I see a treasure to behold
Buttercups, daisies and sunflowers the color of pure gold

I hear doves and hummingbirds sing to me a sweet hello
A swan ruffling her feathers is to my ears a delicate sound
The bees are buzzing, and I hear the soft, sweet sound of dew drops gently falling to the ground

I feel at peace and full of hope
Everything melts away and I can finally take a break
It’s as though my worries and troubles melt away like a Lilly pad flowing down the lake

I smell the clean and fresh air of the country side
Unpolluted and unharmed, it smells of different, sweet grasses
It smells of tulips, lavender and the sweetest of the flowers: roses
