death of young lives
                                                SAYING GOODBYE

They touched us all in a short time,
We felt their taking was a crime!
This void they have left behind,
Left a contract of pain to be signed.
Why did they go, time moves so slow!

Their lives though short,
Were oh so sweet,
Now I cry at their defeat.
Sorrow lurks at every corner,
I now am nought but a mourner!

Now time has ticked by,
I seem to have forgotten to cry,
Still I miss ye so, yet time somehow showed me the way,
That I could think of ye and feel contented for part of the day,
Because ye are happy now, or so I pray.

Floating high above us, laughing, soaring, flying,
I now feel your peace, instead of the pain of your dying!
Free from earthbound pain,
Friends with angels that keep you sane.
I feel you near and yet so far.

Forgetting my own earthly pain,
Stopping myself going insane.
I leave ye now to have your peace,
I know you are watching from the sky,
It is you when I cry, that sends that feather to brush by!!

Happy now, you are flying with the angels,
Free at last from chains that bound you,
Time has led me through my pain,
Through the void you left which almost drove me insane,
To come out and see that you are happy now and FREE!!

Your memories will never fade, but be at peace,
Your spirits will never cease.
Forever in my heart,
Yet time now too to let you part,
Be happy above, as I am below.
