About a painting that hangs over my bed.
She stands there poised so perfectly
Content forever on her soft face
Perhaps there is far more there to be seen
The wind teases her hair and clothes in an odd way
As if flowing up from a canyon
Are her toes on the edge prepared for the next step?
Is it content that is on her pretty face?
Or absolution?
