this poem belongs to the one who holds my heart
My heart beats
Like a heavy drum,
Waiting only
For you to come.

For many years
I sat in sorrow,
Waiting for
A better tomorrow.

Then at last
My love did come.
Lips on lips
My heart had sung.

Never shall
The two of us part.
It was forever
Right from the start.
