Two souls meet on a quiet road, as the night passes overhead.
Stripped down with nothing left to hide behind.
Eviscerated with nothing left inside.
Fear reigns supreme paralyzing every inch of me,
As I sit on the ground in the dark..

Souls touch on a lonely road,
A comfort that feels like it should not be felt.
A familiarity to sink right into
And everything happening as it should.

Fear and comfort felt at the same time,
Pulling together and pulling away.
A need to feel yet an urge to resist.
A conflict at the deepest levels.

Darkness in me seeping out,
A little girl inside me panics,
Desperate to hold onto the dark,
Yet more desperate to be still.

I needed to curl up in warm comfort
While my mind inside me feared,
I realised I was already in warmth and comfort
And my spirit inside me started to rest.

The yin to my yang was stood before me,
Bathed in the soft night light,
Yin and yang then met for an instant
As the early dawn drifted over.

Spirit to spirit in warm embrace,
The moment drew then to a close,
Never to ever be far from the other,
Each just a reach away.
