I feel my breathing falter...
I feel my breathing falter
As I stare into the sun,
I feel my heart rate quicken
As I see now what’s begun.
The stench of death racks the air
As I walk into the forest,
The trees sway in multitudes
To the deadly chorus.
The grass has been stained red
As I walk into the clearing,
The stench of death redoubles
I feel the darkness nearing.
I leave the dying clearing
And leave the glinting sun,
I walk into the darkness
To find what has begun.
I leave behind the flowers
The sun, and my hope as well,
I find eternal darkness
In the forest nearest hell.
The sun has yet to filter
Through these darkened trees,
And as I walk I feel
A strange weakness in my knees.
I find a murky pond
Laying there in ire,
I drink its vile depths
My senses burn like fire.
I fall into the pond
Senses surely failing,
I leave this world behind
The trumpets of death hailing.

This body was a prison
My sanity but a lie,
I left this world behind
In a haze of mist I die.
