A short apocalyptic poem

So the stars begin to fall,
to rain upon a shattered earth;
their advent means the end of all
has come to seal this human mirth

So the heavens, rent in two,
weep aloud for those he loves,
the restless moon is weeping too, but
this command is from above

So the end is come at last
when all shall give a sure account.
But one life, and now it's passed;
judgment comes from sovereign mount

So the sun laments this fate
and pains to see her offspring die;
who can ease this horrid state
when death is raining from the sky?

So the judgment is complete, and
angels give approving nods
for He who sits on judgment's seat
is king of kings and God of Gods.

So now ends this dreary song,
a speck among the works of men;
I droop my head to see my wrongs,
but know that He'll receive me then.
