A damaged woman's lonely descent into solitude.
You ask me to trust you because you trust me.
I feel numb because trust is something I could never give.
You beg me to stay and not let this die.
I coldly look to the floor and I will the tears back into my eyes.

            Why does it have to be this way? Why can't I just believe you when you tell me your heart beats in step with mine?
            I am damanged, I am destroyed, let me go before I do it to you.


You ask me, "Where do we go from here?"
I laugh because there is nowhere to go, but a ledge, a hundred foot drop to our demise.



                Run! Run!  Why are you still here?
                Where do we go from here?  I really don't know, I know I want you but I can't do this!


You hold me and won't let me go.
I push you away and turn around.  I am damaged.
